The Mystery named Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya has been a prolific cricketer. He has rare skills of being a top-notch batsman and can bowl consistently too. Hardik first broke into the scene with Mumbai Indians in the 2015 season. Mumbai Indians found him and developed him into the cricketer he is today. He first got entry into the Indian team before T20 World Cup in Australia. He was looked at as no.6 Batsman. Pandya was seen as that all-rounder Indian team was looking for years.

He became a prominent figure in the team due to his skills as an all-rounder. He played a major part in the Indian team. He played the crucial role of that all-rounder and was also a finisher in the team. His career was going all good but then that horrific injury during the Asia cup in 2018 where he had stretched off the field. Later we found that he had a lower back injury which ruled him out for months. But unfortunately, since he has returned from that injury he hasn’t been the same cricketer he was. His bowling completely diminished and he has reduced just no.6 batsmen. He played into the team but was unable to bowl which started to hamper the team balance. Questions were raised regarding his place in the team.

Nevertheless, the Indian team persisted with him continued to back him. Even for his IPL franchise, he wasn’t bowling which raised when more eyebrows. The Mumbai camp repeatedly said we preserving Hardik for the future and giving him full time to recover. For almost 2 Seasons Pandya didn’t bowl for Mumbai and India and to his bad luck his batting form dipped and a major outbreak happened regarding his place.

After the recently concluded T20 World Cup where India's performance was not up to the mark again questions were raised regarding Hardik. Since then Hardik informed BCCI he needed a break to work on his fitness so he wasn’t included in the scheme of things for the New Zealand and South Africa Tour. Now when Indian struggling to find a proper Hardik replacement even after trying many players in that slot everyone is wondering where is Hardik Pandya.

Recently it was announced he will be captaining the new Ahmedabad IPL franchise. So everyone thought we can see Hardik back in Indian colors from the West Indies tour. But to the fan's disappointment Hardik Pandya yesterday issued an update saying he will now directly take part in IPL 2022 and he still working to get full fitness.

In conclusion, Team India really needs old Hardik back and they will be hoping that Hardik returns to full fitness and can have a huge IPL season as a batsman and most important as a bowler as there is T20 World Cup on our cards in October 2022.

Let us know what do you think of this decision of Hardik Pandya and are you excited to see him back in IPL 2022.
