 So Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls IPL 2022 is upon us. This year our very own IPL (Indian Premier League) is coming up in a brand new flavour and avatar. We got 2 new teams joining the league. One is owned by CVC as Ahmedabad and one by RPS group as Lucknow. 

Also, IPL as recently announced has got a new Title Sponsor in the TATA group giving it a bit of desi flavour.

Now the addition of two new teams means a mega auction. The IPL Mega Auction is slotted to take place in the city of Bengaluru on 12th and 13th February. Mega Auction means total revamp of the teams. All the players will be going under the hammer barring a few (which are retained by respective franchises)

For Shardul we feel all 10 teams will battle it out. It would be interesting to see where plays in IPL 2022. 

Washington Sundar

The Young bowling all-rounder had a topsy turvy year. Started with Gabba and unfortunately ended with Covid- 19. Sundar has been a key element in Virat Kolhi RCB. He can bat no.8 and give guaranteed overs in the powerplay with top-notch off-spin. Teams would go after him in this mega auction, Also RCB would want him back.

Kishan is a left-hander who can bat at the top or in the middle order and he also does wicket keeping. Such a player that to an Indian is a rare commodity. The Mighty Mumbai Indians were a dilemma between him and SKY about whom to retain. Kishan missed out but you can get an idea about the player if a franchise like MI wants to retain him.
