India vs Australia : Women WC Review

The Indian Women Team was full of confidence after winning their opening few matches on the trot in the world cup campaign.On other hand Australian team have won all the matches so far this world cup. Both teams are fighting for the top spot. The Indian team went with no changes Australia too went with their full strength squad. Both teams wanted to win the match. Australia won the toss and chose to bowl and invited India to bat. As India walked out to bat there was total chaos in the well settled Indian batting order.Indian openers were dismissed cheaply. The experience Mithali Raj and young Yastika Bhatia came together and stitched partnership. Both players went to get their fifties. Then came big hitter Harmanpreet Kaur and Pooja Vaastrakar and both hit the ball around the park. India finished with a score of 277/7 on board. 

With 278 with that mighty Australian Batting lineup Australia were always favourites. Australian Openers Haynes and Heelay both batted cautiously and gave their solid start. Both openers put on 100 run stands. Then came captain Meg Lanning and she turned tied completely into Australia's favour. Lanning scored unbeaten 97 and took her team to a comfortable 6 wicket over India. Australia chased the target of 280 quietly comfortably. 

With this win Australia have won all 5 out 5 matches so far and they look like the 1st team to qualify for the knockouts stage. Meanwhile for India, the situation gets tricky they now played matches and lost 3 and won 2 and laughishing 4th in the table. From now on for India every match is a must win game.
